Collection of 563 posters, 1968, 2006 [bulk 1980-2006], and undated, created and/or collected by Central Michigan University Public Relations and Marketing. The posters promote a wide variety of CMU events, departments, offices, speakers, workshops, conferences, as well as some non-university community events, including theater, and miscellaneous topics of interest ot the CMU community. The size, color, and composition of the posters vary greatly, as do the designs, which range from enlarged photographs of university buildings to very artistically designed theatrical posters. The vast majority of the posters are undated. Folders are organized alphabetically by topic. Posters are chronologically filed within folders. Maybee was a history professor at CMU. The Clarke Historical Library has several of his publications and his papers. The Advisory Committee developed plans for major events, publications, re-dedications of campus buildings, presentations, and a historical marker for CMU's 75th Anniversary. The IPCD was established at CMU in 1971. It's purpose was to allow students to take CMU classes at local colleges near military bases or through programs at the bases for transfer colege credits. Part of the IPCD was the IPCD Library Program, later called the IPCD Library, and finally called Off-Campus Library Services in 1982.
